The Adaptation Process of The Seniors in Residential Care

1 ABSTRACT The Master's work deals with the adaptaion proces of elders, taking social work services with accommodation. The theoreticaly introduces the topic of social services, demografy and actual documents. Following investigation shows that the residential services are not prefered by seniors; it's using is connected with negative feelings, at least at the beginning. The key role plays a family an social relationships that can widely help to bear the situation. In particular, we recomend the chase of conception of social services, introduce unified systém of data processing and support of social service.

Efficiency of social services funding

Diploma thesis deal with effectiveness of social service's funding. Its aim is to describe and to evaluate the system of social service's funding. Thesis focuses on two providers of subsidies - Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and regions. In theoretical part describes the method for allocating funds between social services. It is based largely on publicly available documents of regions and MLSA. In the practical part presentation development of social service's expenditures between 2007 - 2013. Diploma thesis subjects social service's expenditure to analysis based on 4E criteria. Fulfilling the criteria of effectiveness is examine by using the correlations method. On selection social services also apply the method of multi-criteria decision. To set criteria, indicators and their weights co-operate professionals from the relevant department of the Regional Authority. Thesis includes several theoretical concepts, on which basis are outlined possibilities of change in the way of social service's funding. This thesis also deal with legislative change that occurred during its processing. It describes also a new method for allocation of public resources between social services.

The thesis "Financing of Social Care services for the Elderly in the Czech Republic - Current Problems and Challenges" deals with analysis of system of social care services for the elderly in view of the fact that the current financing form is subject to criticism for its inefficiency. The aim of this thesis is to critically reflect changes in the provision and financing of social care services for the elderly in the Czech Republic after 2007 in the context of current challenges related to long-term social care and health care. The thesis in its introduction first deals with the formulation of the research problem, deals with particular targets, research questions and the methods of data collection, which are the methods of analysis and public policy making and qualitative research methods. It also discusses the theoretical background of social services and their financing. Problems and Solutions Associated with Financing of NGO Operating in Social Services Focusing on Social Exclusion

The thesis covers problems and solutions associated with the financing of a non-profit organization operating in the area of social services focusing on social exclusion, primarily the social exclusion of Roma minority. In the first part, there are areas associated with this problematics developed. They are the influence of the external environment on the (primarily financial) functioning of the organization from the perspective of the organizational theories, civil society and civil society organizations, social services, Roma minority, fundraising for NGOs and financing of social services. The second part uses a case study to examine how a specific NGO where all the areas mentioned above are interlinked, deals with its financing. Data were obtained from interviews with employees of the organization and through document analysis.

The impact of change in funding of social services on the integration of Roma, the perspective of NGO - Case study Romodrom, o. p. s.

This dissertation covers the impact of changes in the transition of the financing system of social services from the Ministry of Social Affairs to local regions. This phase of the transition is assested from the point of view of the current state of cooperation between non governmental organizations (NGO)s and governmnetal institutions. The sample region selected for this work is Stredocesky region and the evaluation of this change was done in the context of providing social services aimed on integration of Roma into the society. The theoretical part of this dissertation is concerned with the relationship of the state with the NGOs. Further financing of social services, the history up until the current situation of the state of the process of integration of Romes into Czech Republic is outlined in this work. This work evaluates a case study of Romodrom o. p. s., an organization providing social services for individuals, who are on the edge of exclusion from the society or are impacted by an unfortunate life situation. Establishment and financing of social services in Czech Republic after 1990

In the society, due to many changes in demographic population development, it should be paid more attention to the adequate setting of the social security system to avoid the social risks. One of the pillars of social security system in the Czech Republic is social care, which also includes social services. After 1989 the setting of social services was not effective, did not respond asked needs and there was no space for development. The Act No. 108/2006 Coll., on social services, which the social services are currently defined, is a prerequisite for the current organization of social services. This diploma thesis compares the expenditures expended on social services before the effectiveness of this Act, in the period 1996-2006, and in its period of validity, 2006.

Title: The Principles of Funding of the Public and Voluntary Formalised Solidarity in the Social Care Services in the Czech Republic Abstract: The social care services are a specific system within the social protection system. Opposed to the public benefit systems they allow the coexistence of public and voluntary solidarity. There are many welfare state models and systems of cooperation of the public and NGOs in Europe. These models offer differently formed relationships of their entities. This thesis raises the question of finding a more convenient organisation of the whole system of the social care services in the Czech Republic where the problem is currently being discussed The objective of the thesis is to find possibilities of public and voluntary solidarity in the social care services settings and to suggest ways for their cooperation. The research is mainly based on qualitative methods. Firstly, the causal links of statistical nature from the fields of demography, social relations and economics are introduced. In the next step a combination of methods of in depth interviews and expert discussions is used. They focus on public solidarity and regulation in the system.
